Henry, come home!

I miss my son. I really do.

He’s been up in Washington state with his grandparents for the last month. He comes home on the 10th.

I’ve talked to him on the phone a couple of times, and it sounds like it’s been the great experience for him that I was hoping it would be. He’s been working for his grandfather, sometimes in the office, sometimes cleaning up construction sites. He sounds… older, more grounded, and yet like a boy who still needs his family.

I am so proud of that kid. When I think about him, I stand a little taller.
